Brent Hatch, PA-C

About Dr. Hatch
Service is so deeply engrained in Brent Hatch that he considers it less of a choice and more of a duty to serve others. A lifelong love of building things and working with his hands, coupled with his enthusiasm for learning about the unseen ways in which the body works, led him to orthopedics.
Patients often come to him with issues related to their musculoskeletal system — bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments — and come away with not only a plan of care, but also the feeling that they were well cared for.
“I have an obligation to help others — not because it feels good, but because it is the right thing to do,” he says.
As a certified physician assistant, Brent enjoys getting to know his patients and learning about their interests, needs and goals. As a medical provider, he often considers how he or one of his family members would want to be treated as a patient.
“In my own experience as a patient, being seen promptly by a provider with good clinical expertise, who treats me with respect and without prejudice, is important. Everyone I see deserves the same.”
Helping to diagnose and treat those who suffer from pain related to injuries, aging and degenerative disorders is rewarding, he says. Part of that reward comes from talking with and educating patients about their condition and including them in making decisions that will guide their care and ultimately their healing.
“I hope each patient would describe me as their advocate. I try to do whatever I can to lead them to a good outcome.”
Brent earned his undergraduate degree at Weber State University in Utah and his graduate degree at Bethel University, based in Tennessee. When he’s not seeing patients, he enjoys spending time with his family.
“My wife and I are happily married with six children that span 16 years. Together, we have enjoyed living in the Rockies and now love sharing a home in the unmatched beauty of the Southern Oregon Coast.
Some of his favorites activities include snow and water skiing, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking and practicing survival skills. He also works with a church group, focusing on intellectual, spiritual, academic and physical habits to inspire youth to lead healthier, happier, more successful lives.
